McAfee finalises purchase of Secure Computing
It all appeared to happen rather quickly but today Net-Ctrl has been told officially that the acquisition has been completed.
Where does this leave SC customers?
The official line is that this acquisition will benefit customers, and I believe that to be true. SC had always suffered from lack of exposure caused by lack of marketing clout through lack of large scale sales. Now SC products will be promoted by an organisation with enormous presence and an established pedigree.
Over time I suspect that product names will change and user interfaces will begin to look and feel like the McAfee products. But, SC were committed to a general upgrade anyway.
As a reseller we are delighted with the "big company" benefits that come with the McAfee acquisition. We shall continue to promote, supply and support the SC products and look forward to a bright future.
