According to a new report from the BBC Cybercrime in the UK rose by more than 9% in 2007.

More grim news has emerged from Online identity firm Garlik's cybercrime report claims that more than 3.5 million online crimes were committed in the UK last year. There is a little good news though as there was an 8% drop in online identity theft and sexual offences fell 2%. but the bad news is that the majority of crimes related to fraud and abusive or threatening e-mails.

The message is clear though. If you want to protect your business and your brand your defences must equal the strength of the threat.

Net-Ctrl will be hosting a Security Webinar on the 21st November featuring Mike Smart, Security Specialist from Secure Computing. The webinar will focus on blended threats and the importance of covering all the bases.
